How do I describe Japan? Logically I understand it is one of the biggest cities in Asia but ironically due to their perfection in almost all they do, extreme politeness I wish I could see in more areas of the world, and utterly clean streets, I almost feel I’m in a completely different world!
I’ve lived in Japan for 3 years during high school years so going back wasn’t all too shocking.
But nonetheless the appreciation of another’s culture and the breathtaking landscape, whether in the middle of Shibuya or the quiet streets of Gion Kyoto, can never be taken for granted.
What I enjoyed most was waking up with no agenda…AHEM, ok ok so we had a ton of things to do every day Β π Β In all seriousness, what I loved was the lightness one feels when traveling and being completely present and engaged with all five senses.
Exploring the endless options of amazing cafes, local markets, and delicious foods was incredible. What was also incredible was witnessing the changing of seasons by the astonishing fall colors that were brilliantly showing off at each and every turn. To see the beautiful golden light hit the gold, red, and orange hues of the leaves was breathtaking.
The photos below comprise a highlight reel of the trip. All taken with my phone and a few from the 5d Mark II Β π
First…the food!
The markets:
We can’t forget about the beautiful sights…
Last but not least, the cafes…
Japan I will be back! Thank you for your kindness β‘
