What We All Have In Common

I know some pretty amazing successful people, the kind of people that drive fancy cars, own big businesses and seem to have it all. And I also know people that are, well, regular people.

But you know what we all have in common? Doubt.

Adrenal Fatigue Mindset Coach

We all have those mornings where we wake up wondering what the heck we are doing.

We wake up wondering am I on the right path.

We wake up fearing what we are going to do that day because we know it’s beyond our Edge.

We wake up depressed wondering why we are feeling the way that we do.

And I’m here to tell you that you are not the only one feeling these feelings.

These are experiences that we have because we are human. As long as we’re here on Earth we’re going to feel all the feels. And it’s up to you on how you want to transform this feeling, because it’s going to come back, and it’s how you think about what it means that is going to make or break you.

You’re not special for having these feelings, because everybody is special and has these feelings. You’re not the only one, nor are you weird for feeling these feelings.

There is nothing wrong with you there is everything right about you. So don’t let something like a feeling be in your way. Go out there and be big.

The Courage Of The Seed

This past weekend I, along with 31 beautiful souls, completed our 200 yoga teacher training. 10 weekends, 108 asanas, mudras, mantras, and an expansion of soul, body, and mind.

To think that we all met in this time and space “randomly” would be far from the truth.

I am in gratitude and humbled by everyone’s strength, courage, vulnerability, heart, and of course wise teachings from our Rasa tribe leader Greta Hill and a multitude of other teachers who graced us with their wisdom.

Yoga has been a practice and place where I have been able to return to for strength and vitality, and I am honored to have learned the art and soul of this practice at a more in-depth level.

And how beautiful it is to wrap up Winter and step into Spring?

We all planted a seed, a rooted intention to begin this 200 hour journey, and to watch this seed continue to blossom is this sweet, magical unfolding will be truly a mystical experience.

Mark Nepo said it best in this poem below:

All the buried seeds crack open in the dark, the instant they surrender to a process they can’t see.

What a powerful lesson is the beginning of spring.

All around us, everything small and buried surrenders to a process that none of the buried parts can see.

And this innate surrender allows everything edible and fragrant to break ground into a life we call spring.

In nature, we are quietly given countless models of how to give ourselves over to what appears dark and hopeless, but which is ultimately an awakening beyond all imagining.

As a seed buried in the earth cannot imagine itself as an orchid or hyacinth, neither can a heart packed with hurt imagine itself loved or at peace.

The courage of the seed is that once cracking, it cracks all the way.

~Mark Nepo

Whatever journey you yourself have been on this past Winter – trust the process, have faith in the unfolding, watch the magic.

Here’s to planted seeds and watching them bloom.

Happy NEW Year!

As cliche as it sounds, time seems to FLY BY with greater speed and gusto every single year, and 2017 was no exception.

And knowing that, I plan to love more, live more, laugh more, joy more, peace more with all my heart and every fiber of my being.

2018, I am ready for you.

Wishing you all the same and more.

A Seattle Community of Sisterhood

For the past 6 months I have felt a deep calling to create community, a sisterhood, here in Seattle.

This deep desire would grow then fade depending on how many projects I had going on as well as managing my travel schedule. One big deterrent from starting this community was location; I had no idea what 2018 would look like and would ask myself questions such as, “Would it even be worth it to me or others not knowing whether Life would take me outside of Seattle in 2018?”.

Until earlier this month (December), I knew deep down that this desire was calling and it wouldn’t stop.

The need to guide, connect, and be the Seer for anyone who needed it was a strong enough risk for me to take.

And I know deep down I would be the one who’s heart is filled and brimming with gratitude and love at everyone’s willingness, honesty, and own respect for their journey and desire for connection.

So with that said, be on the look out for more details! I’ll be creating an official channel via MeetUp where I will post 1:1 coaching session dates, Moon Circles, community gatherings, and much more.

I can’t wait to connect.

Friday Focus – 8/4/17 {The Community Of SISTERHOOD}

Anyone else melting in this Seattle heat? I couldn’t believe we reached 97 yesterday but I’m not complaining. That’s when you call your sister up and eat acai bowls to cool off!

Speaking of sister, today I wanted to focus on something very special to me. I wanted to honor all powerful women, especially the powerful women in my life. Who would we be without community?

No really think about it…

Above many things I love and prioritize connection and community. To be able to be in deep communion, to learn from others’ wisdom, and equally important… to give back and share your own wisdom in the same respect.

Even more I am grateful for the Sisterhood, the feeling of **coming home**, whenever and wherever we gather in the world.

It has been amazing to watch the growth and wisdom explode over these past few years of the many sisters in my life, and I am honored to hold witness to this experience as well as share my own journey to an incredible line up of women.

And for this special bond I am forever grateful.

I encourage you today to write a letter of gratitude for the women (or your own special community) in YOUR life. Cherish those bonds. Tell them how much they have helped you in your growth and how you plan to be there for them. Strengthen these ties as they will strengthen you back with the amount of energy you tend to it.

So here’s to even more belly laughs, rolling tears, sunsets and sunrises, and all the gluten free desserts with all the special people in my life. Today I celebrate YOU.

Soul Session on FIRE

Last evening I had a Soul Session that was on fire.

I listened to what was weighing heavily on the heart and other life difficulties. We discussed a multitude of possibilities, but above all else we got to the core of what it means to be living NOW. To be at peace and knowing we are held; we are loved; we are perfectly where we need to be; we are perfect.

That said, what I really wanted to write about was the awe and gratitude that never ceases to amaze me.

Last evening was conducted over the phone, and what amazes me is how I am always matched with the right client and the right client always finds me. The growth we both feel can be none other than God at work. The Universe really does match people for a soul union and lasting relationship!

The kindness, bravery, and vulnerability it takes to be open and willing to face the truth is deeply respected and honored in sacred space.

I am always honored and humbled at each connection I make. My only wish is for a growing and expansive heart opening so that a bit more peace, love, and wisdom can enter the lives to all I connect with.

Thank you to all whom I have connected with and will continue to connect with. Your humility, grace, and inner wisdom is absolutely beautiful and I am honored to be witness to your life journey.

Forever yours,

Susan

Heart So Full It Can Burst

I had one of those ‘heart so full it can burst’ kinda mornings… the kind of mornings when you are in awe at how the Universe works. The kind of mornings when you connect so deeply with another human being you realize THIS is what life is all about. The kind of morning when you call and text all your closest peoples just to tell them you love them.

I’m inside of this vortex called love so big it’s swirling all around me and everything is so still and clear. There’s an aura of peace and you can’t help but acknowledge it. You can’t help but want to share THIS.

Because life is meant to be shared. The more we share these kind of moments the more it speaks to the part of all of us that craves this and sparks something new, hopeful, and energizing within us.

So here’s to more mornings like this. Here’s to creating your own vortex… the ‘heart so full it can burst’ kind 😉

Namaste.

Small Talk & Magic

Yesterday, I ran into an old acquaintance and as we were catching up over the last 3 years she had casually mentioned getting surgery due to a herniated disk. I then, because I couldn’t help myself, asked, “I hope you don’t mind me asking… but did you learn a lot from that experience?” And out imploded a rush of emotions and vulnerable sharing of what really transpired over the last 3 years.

How I Recovered from Adrenal Fatigue Pt. 3

In the last post on Adrenal Fatigue I shared some of the tools and tactics that helped me to overcome adrenal fatigue.

If I look back now it was almost a two year journey to heal all the wounds that likely led to having adrenal fatigue in the first place.

Yesterday’s post inspired me to write the third installment on how I overcame adrenal fatigue. Why? Because the theme in yesterday’s post was the exact mental model I needed during my journey for complete healing.

In the beginning stages of adrenal fatigue I was a mess. Yet I had hope. And it was this hope along with my driven type A personality that created a complete plan toward the road to health and wellness.
