Your Most Powerful Asset

When you think about the most powerful tool you have, what comes to mind?

Money
Time
or maybe
Love?

Yes, those things can get you a lot in life.

But none of those things would matter if we didn’t give it the meaning we are capable of giving it.

You see, our brains have the capacity to project whatever it is we want to see.

If you see time as hurried and scarce, that will be how you experience your life.

Thanks to the frequency illusion, we will only notice when time seems limited or scarce. Our minds will say, “See! I told you so! There is never enough time in the day!”. When really, there were moments when we were scrolling Facebook or checking our phones for new notifications multiple times a day.

And do you want to know why this is the case?

Because our thoughts are how we experience our life.

If you believe your happiness is based on the results from your job, then your happiness WILL be based on the results from your job.

If you believe love is hard to find, then love will be hard to find.

If you believe money flows to you easily, then money will flow to you easily.

If you believe you were meant for something big and purposeful, then your life will be big and purposeful.

You see, a part of our brain, the subconscious mind, always performs FOR YOU. It will never say no. It’s only job is to follow your orders.

And where do orders come from?

Our thoughts and feelings.

Where do feelings come from?

OUR THOUGHTS.

So let’s be real clear and honest… everything starts with your thoughts. It starts in your brain first.

Time, money, love, and whatever else you listed at the start of this post is powerful to you because you gave it meaning from a thought you had about it.

Now the big question is, are you choosing your thoughts or are your thoughts choosing you?

This is a trick question because…

… the illusion and major misconception that most people think is that our thoughts choose us.

Thoughts do not choose us; thoughts don’t just happen to us. We are the thinker of our thoughts. We are the creative force that gets to think whatever we choose.

Once you understand this crucial piece of knowledge, there is no unlearning this.

When you can harness the creative power you are and the most powerful asset you have – your brain, you are now stepping into the true seat of personal power.

How will you choose to change your life one thought at a time?

Friday Focus – 12/8/17 {Cherishing The Moments}

Seattle has been absolutely gorgeous this past week, and I hear it’s going to stay this way until next week. This makes my heart skip a beat. If you’ve ever spent a non-rainy day in Seattle you know very well what this might feel like. The fresh, crisp, cool air, the warmth of the sun on your face, clear blue skies, outlined by the evergreens and the cascades everywhere you look. It’s pretty much perfection! Don’t get me wrong, the rainy days can be just as cozy… but as they say you can’t take the sun out of the girl. 😉

Lately, I’ve been cherishing every moment. Finding the good in every moment. Each time I let the pup out in the morning I take a BIG gulp of fresh air. I feel the coolness of the air come into my throat, down my lungs, all the way through to the back of my heart. Then I open my eyes and stare up at the huge evergreen in my backyard and thank God for this moment. I end this small moment in time by standing in awe of what is truly in front of my eyes.

What makes these days even more precious is knowing that these are the last few days of 2017!

I don’t know about you guys but I am all about making each and every moment count; which by the way reminds me of a truly great article by Tim Urban who so eloquently put our time into perspective.

No matter how stressed I am, when I take a moment to truly appreciate our time I am left with immense gratitude. After all, it’s perspective, and a question we can ask ourselves right now is, what lens am I wearing today?

As we approach the end of the year things can get hectic, reallllly hectic. So for this week’s Friday Focus it’s all about cherishing the moments. How can we stay in wonder and gratitude throughout the day? What small, minute moments can we cherish and love knowing this moment is all we have right now?

Here’s to another sun filled weekend, and may we appreciate the stillness that is always present.

Susan

Wheels of Life

Friday Focus – 6/2/17 {It’s JUNE!}

JUNE. JUUUUUUUUUUNE.

Can you believe it? I can’t…. we are half way through 2017!

In the previous seasons I would be revisiting goals and/or intentions I had set at the beginning of the year, but I find myself in a space where the focus is truly on NOW. The present.

Some of the questions I find myself asking this season include:

~ Am I enjoying the day? Right now?

~ Am I being with what is?

~ Can I open up fully in grace, love, and light?

~ Can I connect openly and deeply with myself and others?

~ What seeds am I planting in the areas of love, relationships, community, and deep connection?

~ Can I open to the breath, and the next breath, and the next, and the next?

This season I am loving this gentle opening and space for the present. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with re-visiting goals either! I am just noticing what is needed for me in this moment. How about you? Are you in a season for more opening? acceptance? love? ambition? speed? dreaming? harvesting?

No matter the season may this be a moment to reflect on what is needed most in this moment for your heart, body, mind, and soul.

Namaste.

Truth Is, It DOESN’T MATTER

Your past, the regrets, trying to make the right choice for a better future…

Truth is, it doesn’t matter.

The most important question you can ask yourself in THIS moment is:

How do you want to FEEL? Right now? And right now? And RIGHT NOW?
