When The World Seems To Crash On You

What do you do? When, at the end of the day, the world just seems to be crashing down on you? Your breathing becomes rigid, perhaps your fingers go numb, and you just want to scream or maybe cry?

First of all, let it happen.

  • Finding it hard to breathe? Then take deep breaths.one.step.at.a.time.
  • Fingers going numb? Touch your hands, one finger at a time. Stay in the body.
  • Want to scream or cry? Definitely do it. Let it out…

Once you’re back in the body, and not so much in the head, it still may seem as if stress is at an all time high, you’re hopeless at the situation around you, and you have so much anxiety you might explode.

The key point in all this is to remember, surrender, and be a believer.

Remember – all things are meant for your growth. This too shall pass. Your soul is unconditional. Only love is real. Trust the flow of what life brings.

Surrender – give all things over to your higher self, God, the Universe, whatever you want to call it. Trying to solve the problem only validates that there is a problem. Instead, focus on surrendering and going with the flow. The key is to relax into the flow and not add resistance.

Be a Believer – Possibly the most important part… believe all things will work for your benefit. Trust that there is an undeniably positive outcome just for you. Feel into this positive outcome and believe it with ease and lightness.

I remember many times in the past whenever a cathartic moment occurs I’d find myself in an endless hamster wheel of spinning emotions. What a way to drain your energy! But it was the only thing I knew how to do at the time.

Through mindfulness and faith, I have learned, and continue to learn, to take a step back and breathe into the moment. To understand emotions are indicative of how I feel, but what I feel contradicts what I know, deep down, to be TRUE and that is this: we are always taken care of.

So just remember, you are always taken care of. You are loved just as you. This too shall pass.

With much love and peace.

Namaste.
